The government has pegged the plan as a game-changer as it will carry-out spatial, economic and social transformation. Once this happens, it will reposition the regional economy as a chosen destination for trade, investment and tourism.

This is expected to heighten the demand and development for warehouses in towns such as Isando as more businesses will relocate or expand here to be part of and benefit from the aerotropolis. 

As more developers and investors capitalise on the favourable conditions in Ekurhuleni, we can expect to see the widespread development of multi-million rand business precincts such as the Plumbago Business Park.
